We are currently seeking a Senior Payroll Manager to be responsible for all facets of payroll processing and payroll management. This position will ensure accuracy of multi-state payroll and payroll taxes and will provide great customer service to Team Members across the country.  Responsibilities include:


  • Ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for 20+ multi state theaters and Home Office.
  • Oversee set up and maintenance of all federal, state and local garnishments.
  • Review, research and promptly respond to requests from tax agencies.
  • Responsible for adherence to all governmental reporting and regulations and maintenance of sound control processes to protect company assets and advise Management of needed actions.
  • Prepare periodic payroll reports for Senior Management, Human Resources and Finance departments.
  • Set up new locations in payroll system that meet payroll related state requirements.
  • Review and spot check to ascertain that payroll distributions are accurate and promptly handled.
  • Maintain employee confidence by responding to employee payroll-related questions and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Initiate and control efforts and procedures to maintain data integrity. Identify key and/or recurring issues, and work to resolve through training, configuration, and/or policy and procedural solutions.
  • Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend changes to Company policies resulting in best practices.
  • Ensure benefit deductions are accurate and set up on a timely basis.
  • Reset new benefit deduction amounts and dates on payroll system upon renewal each policy year by division.
  • 401(k) funding.
  • Responsible for all system year-end tasks including the reset of 401(k) and FSA, limits per yearly IRS guidelines.
  • Quarterly meetings with key leaders to discuss observations, trends and opportunities for improvement and goals for the following quarter·
  • Responsible for direct supervision and career development of payroll team.
  • Prepare and coordinate distribution of W-2's.
  • Work with iSolved Team to establish, document and implement best practices.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, review professional publications, establish personal networks and participate in professional societies.
  • Special projects as assigned.



  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or Certified Payroll Professional with at least 10 years of progressive Payroll experience, with 3- 5 years in restaurant, dine in cinema or related industry.
  • Multi-state, multi-EIN experience a must.
  • Previous managerial/supervisory experience is required. with both direct and indirect reports.
  • Experience with implementation and deployment of HCM systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, best practices, general accounting principles, federal / state regulations, and payroll tax law.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize, work under time constraints to meet critical deadlines, supervise, and train staff.
  • High attention to detail with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills to foster strong relationships at all levels.
  • Must be able to manage difficult payroll situations with Team Members, provide exceptional customer service, deal sensitively with confidential information, and work with a high degree of professionalism and with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule. May require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business needs.
