Job Description

The benefits coordinator position assists Team Members with benefits enrollment and questions, manages all insurance billing, maintains benefit database and files. Successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to respond timely to requests from Area Directors, Field Management and Team Members. Candidate must be high energy, organized and passionate about balancing both compliance and culture.  Responsibilities include:

  • Maintains payroll and related records recording the accumulation and use of vacations, holidays, sick days and miscellaneous leaves of absence.
  • Administer various Team Member benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
  • Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits enrollment system. 
  • Maintain Team Member benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction.
  • Assist Team Members with health, dental, disability, life and other related benefit claims.
  • Administer COBRA.
  • Assist Sr. Manager of Payroll and Benefits in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the company.
  • Prepare and set up meetings designed to help Team Members obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs.
  • Prepare and maintain biweekly Team Member reports, new-hire and absentee reports.
  • Assist Sr. Manager of Payroll and Benefits in completing benefits reporting requirements.
  • Other projects may arise and be assigned to assist with growth of the department.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive benefit experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ACA, administration and reporting.
  • Benefit experience with multi-site hospitality highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proactive, able to keep track of eligibility requirements.
