Job Description

The Solution Engineer assists in the development of software and data solutions for the Studio Movie Grill business.   This position will be responsible for the technical design, implementation and support of assigned application/data solutions and integrations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Combination of individual contributor responsibilities, while also providing technical direction of individuals within a dedicated (or matrixed) resource environment.
  • Assess, evaluate and recommend options for solving business problems using software development, integration, and business intelligence technologies.
  • Develop and promote effective software development practices required for reliability and compliance of solutions.
  • Design and Implement software products as required.
  • Design and Implement application/data integration solutions as required.
  • Design and Implement business intelligence solutions as required.
  • Work with product vendors to map data integrations and application interfaces required to successfully implement vendor solutions as well as construct end-to-end business solutions.
  • Participate in agile team processes for implementation of assigned solutions.
  • Provide Tier 3 support of production.


  • Professional team-player with attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical skills: Microsoft software development stack.
  • High proficiency with Relational Databases (SQLServer, Postgres).
  • High proficiency with low-code Integration toolsets (e.g., SnapLogic, Dell Boomi, Mulesoft).
  • Proficiency with AWS infrastructure and platform services.
  • Proficiency with self-service reporting and dashboarding toolsets (e.g., PowerBI, QuickSight, Looker, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Point of Sale Systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Restaurant Systems a plus.
  • Familiarity with Workday a plus.
  • Comfort and ability to evaluate and learn new software tools.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills (juggling multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines).
  • Desire to work in small, self-directed, shared-role teams.
  • Exceptional customer service mentality.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to deal with sensitive information and highly confidential situations.
  • Associate degree in applicable field is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an IT environment with custom development and integrations.
  • Multi-unit location experience is preferred.
  • Cinema-eatery, restaurant, retail or theater experience a plus.
